It feels good to be able to stand on one's own feet again. I am nearly fully healed now. Thank you to those of you who showed concern for my well-being. I was... touched.

Though I suppose you want to know what happened to me. As many of you should know by now, the sewers are a dangerous place in this city, infested by misshapen creatures called "chimeras"; a hodge-podge of animals, each varying in their degrees of deadliness. For as long as you have been here, we have managed to contain them underground. You have all heard the monstrous roars from below, I am sure, and, fearing their escape, we personally went to investigate the disturbance.

You have borne witness to the results.

You need not worry about such an attack occurring again any time soon, however. The matter has been resolved. However, one beyond our control will occur soon. Stay inside.

You all are getting terribly antsy, so I am sure it will be a relief to you that I bring good news:

The cure has been completed.

To administer it, however, we will need the help of the doctors and any others with medical training. Outside of your dwellings, you will find cases with the exact number of syringes needed for the people living there. The shot should be administered to the upper arm. If you do not have the proper training for this, do not attempt it. Find a doctor to help you.

You must all receive the shot if you wish to live, because, despite appearances, you are all infected.

The Atropos Virus is a very unique disease. It is airborne, and once an organic life form inhales it, it begins to incubate. The host may not show signs for days to weeks, some even months, but when it finally does surface, death is imminent.

Do not, however, inject those who have begun to cough blood. There is nothing to be done for them; their insides have already begun to liquefy. Let them die. We will take care of them.

Oh, my. Looks like rain. Those of you who haven't found reliable shelter may want to do so very soon. You'd also do well to make sure the roof doesn't leak.
